Local Business Tax Receipt

Local business tax receipts and zoning are also part of the Building Division, for both commercial and home-based businesses. We assist the citizens and consumers by providing information on whether a business is properly licensed, and if the current zoning is in conjunction with what the citizen and consumers need to comply. The Licensing Official issues Local Business Tax Receipts out of our office.

If your business is located within the City limits of Seminole, you are required to obtain a Local Business Tax Receipt. To verify if your business is located within the City limits of Seminole, go to the Pinellas County Property Appraiser's website at www.pcpao.org or, you may call the Pinellas County Property Appraiser's Office at (727)-464-3207.

When transferring a business license, you must bring in the current Local Business Tax Receipt, and fill out the application for a transfer.
