Where is the Recreation Division Office located, and what are the office hours?

The Recreation Division office is located across from City Hall at 9100 113th Street North. The telephone number is (727) 391-8345; Fax number is (727) 398-9611; and email address is jsheets@myseminole.com. Office hours are Monday - Friday from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Does the City of Seminole have a Senior Center?

The Seminole Recreation Division offer a Senior Adult Room located within the Seminole Recreation Center at 9100 113th Street. The adult room is currently open every weekday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Please call Dan McKeag at 727-391-8345 for additional information on Senior Programs.

What facilities are available for rent?

The Recreation Division has available for rent a number of various rooms within the Recreation Center. There is a rental charge depending on the individual or group. At this time, we don't make available for rent or reservation our shelters at City Park. These shelters are available on a first come, first serve basis.

When the parks are open?


City of Seminole parks are open everyday from sunrise to sunset.

What do I need to show for proof of residency in the City of Seminole?


Two proofs of residency including any of the following: Florida Driver License, Tax Statement, Current Utility Bill, or Occupational License.—all documents need to show your name at the specific address in question.

Are there additional fees to use the family Aquatic Center?

Yes, you can pay a daily admission fee or purchase an annual pass. These fees are used to fund the operation of the pool.

If my mailing address is Seminole, why am I not a resident?


Physical addresses are for Postal purpose. People living within the City pay taxes to the City of Seminole. Those living in the Unincorporated Seminole area, pay taxes only to Pinellas County.

Are pets permitted in the parks?


Yes, pets are permitted in Seminole City Park and Blossom Lake Park as long as they are controlled on a leash.

Is alcohol permitted in the parks?


Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in City of Seminole parks.

When is the Family Aquatic Center open?


The pool generally opens the first Saturday in May and closes the last Saturday in October. See the Aquatics Section of our web site for more information and exact dates.

How do I report a problem or vandalism in the park?


Call the Public Works Division at (727) 397-6383 to report a problem. If you see vandalism occurring, call 911 and report it immediately.

Do you accept donations?


Yes! Donations are accepted and used for various special events. In kind donations are also accepted if they enhance our programs or our ability to provide programs.

How can I get information regarding youth and sports activities in the City?


Just call or come by our office for more information. We will also be happy to mail you flyers pertaining to your specific interest. A detailed listing of all activities is included on this webpage.

Is there a voting board for the Parks and Recreation Department?


Yes, the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meets the first Monday of each month in the conference room “B” in City Hall at 6:00 pm. The meeting is open to the public, and the agenda is posted in front of City Hall.

Are there special events for City of Seminole residents?


Yes, there are several special events designed specifically for City of Seminole residents. Annually, there is a Senior Health & Wellness Expo, Halloween Spooktacular, Tree Lighting & Holiday Winterfest, Music in the Park Series, Pow Wow Festival and Parade, Earth Day Festival, Family Fitness Festival, Youth Triathlon, along with many more. Can I volunteer at City of Seminole functions?


Yes, the opportunity to volunteer at City of Seminole programs and events is always available. Volunteer hours with the City of Seminole can also be used towards community services hours. For more information, please call 727-391-8345.
