The City of Seminole is accepting applications from volunteers to perform office functions at various offices. Flexible opportunities and at your convenience. City Inspector: The City of Seminole is seeking a full-time Building Inspector. Duties include enforcement of local and state codes, ordinances, regulations, statutes; perform plan reviews; perform building inspections for safety, structural, electrical, gas, mechanical, plumbing, municipal, and construction. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma/equivalent, valid Florida driver’s license, state licensed Building Code Inspector, certified in one & two family dwelling OR certified in building, mechanical, electrical and plumbing preferred. Five (5) years employment experience in comparable position. The selected applicant will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening. Starting salary: depending upon qualifications (D.O.Q.). Salary range: $41,857.50/year to $60,693.36/year. Human Resource Administrator: The City of Seminole is seeking a Human Resource Administrator to coordinate the human resource activities such as hiring, health insurance, liability insurance, and worker’s compensation. The requirements are as follows: Associate’s Degree in Human Resource Management (Bachelor’s Degree is preferred), considerable knowledge of human resource practices and risk management, five (5) years responsible experience handling insurance matters,  personnel matters, and risk management, possession of a valid Florida driver’s license. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A background investigation and drug screen will be performed. Salary range: $18.80/hour to $27.27/hour. Librarian I - Reference Services. The City of Seminole is seeking a candidate to work in the Reference Services section of the Seminole Community Library, a joint use facility located on the St. Petersburg College, Seminole Campus. Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree; relevant library experience preferred, willingness to accommodate flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours; experience using computer programs and databases, valid Florida driver’s license. Background investigation and drug screen performed. Entry level position starting at $14.34/hour. Competitive benefit package provided. Salary range: $14.34 to $20.80/ hour. Administrative Assistant II:  The City of Seminole is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant II to assist the Director of Administration. The successful candidate will perform advanced clerical and administrative support duties. Requirements: A high school diploma or an equivalency certificate required. Advanced training in business or an Associate Degree in Business Administration or Secretarial Sciences is preferred. A minimum of four (4) years of executive secretarial or advanced clerical experience required. The successful candidate shall be proficient in the use of personal computer systems using Word, Excel, Access, and other similar programs, and have excellent telephone etiquette skills. Hiring at $14.62 per hour. The salary range $14.62 to $21.20/hour. Camp Counselor: The successful candidate will lead and coordinate groups in the city’s youth summer camp program. The work dates are: 05/11/15 to 08/28/15. Candidates will be required to work all 11 weeks of Summer Camp. The work hours are between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with varying daily schedules. This is a temporary full-time position.  This position requires applicants to be 18 years old, high school diploma/ equivalent, and a Florida driver’s license. CPR & First Aid training provided. Salary range: $9.48 to $9.99 hour. The position is a temporary full-time position, background investigation and drug screen conducted. Lifeguard-Seasonal: This is a temporary seasonal position. The successful candidate will work at the Holland G. Mangum Recreation Complex and supervise and patrol the pool area, perform clerical, cashier, and custodial duties. The work dates are 4/06/15 to 10/24/15 w/varying daily schedule. The requirements are the completion of 2 years of high school (have completed the Sophomore year of High School), and possess Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications, Florida driver’s license or picture ID. Salary range: $9.48 to $9.99/ hr. plus $1.25/hr. for WSI certification. A background investigation/drug screen will be conducted. Training Technician: Part-time-20 hours/week . Assist in developing and coordination of in-house training programs for the Fire Rescue Department employees. Maintain training files, monitor certification requirements, purchase Fire equipment, and supplies. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, computer proficiency, experience with audio visual equipment,  five (5) years prior Firefighter experience, a valid Florida driver's license, good interpersonal skills, and be a non-smoking/ non-tobacco using person both on and off job for one year prior to time of employment and maintain non-smoking status throughout employment. Entry level position starting at $10.42/ hour.   Salary range: $10.42/ hour. to $15.11/hour. The work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 pm.
