The City of Seminole is accepting applications from volunteers to perform office functions at various offices. Flexible opportunities and at your convenience. Training Technician: Assist in developing and coordination of in-house training programs for the Fire Rescue Department employees. Part-time-20 hours/week . Maintain training files, monitor certification requirements, purchase Fire equipment, and supplies. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, computer proficiency, experience with audio visual equipment, five (5) years prior Firefighter experience, a valid Florida driver's license, good interpersonal skills, and be a non-smoking/ non-tobacco using person both on and off job for one year prior to time of employment and maintain non-smoking status throughout employment. Entry level position starting at $10.42/ hour. Salary range: $10.42/ hour. to $15.11/hour. The work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 pm. Code Administrator/ Building Official: The City of Seminole FL is seeking a professional/technical individual to serve as a division head for the city's Code Enforcement/Inspection Section within the Community Development Department. Responsibilities include: all phases of building permitting, building code enforcement,  building code compliance, building plan reviews, and building related field inspections. Work is performed in a non-smoking office environment. Position requires relevant employment experience (including five years in a supervisory capacity). An Associate's Degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Engineering or a related field is preferred. Also required: State of Florida Building Code Administrator license; a valid Florida driver's license. Salary range: $55,908.56 to $81,067.40. A background investigation and drug screen will be performed. A competitive benefit package will be provided. The hiring salary depends upon qualifications.

Camp Counselor : The successful candidate will lead and coordinate groups in the city's summer camp program. The work dates are: 05/19 to 08/15/14. The work hours are between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with varying daily schedules up to 40 hours per week. Candidates will be required to work all 10 weeks of Summer Camp.   This position requires a high school diploma/ equivalent, and a Florida driver's license. CPR & First Aid training provided. Salary range: $9.48 to $9.99 hour. The position is a temporary position. Background investigation and drug screen conducted. Maintenance I: The City of Seminole is seeking a self-motivated individual to perform grounds and restroom maintenance in the Parks & Grounds Section of the Public Works Department. Qualified candidates should have experience in grounds and facility maintenance.  (This is not a building maintenance position.)  Work hours are 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, twenty (20) hours per week. This is an entry level position starting at $11.93 hour. The salary range is $11.93 per hour to $17.30 per hour. A valid Florida driver’s license, a high school diploma/equivalent, and one (1) year of experience required. A background investigation and a drug screen will be performed.
