Human Resources: This section is responsible for the utilization of the City's human resources. Activities include: Maintenance of personnel files; formulation and implementation of practices and policies; administers, explains and updates a variety of city benefits; ensures compliance with all local, state and federal labor and employment laws and actively discourages discrimination at all levels.

EMS Technician: Part-time, 20/week; coordinates the care and maintenance of EMS equipment; assists with the maintenance of EMS documentation; performs quality QA activities and assists with coordination of EMS training.  Requires high school diploma or equivalent and computer proficiency; possession of Florida Paramedic Certificate. Candidates meeting the paramedic certification requirements of the Office of Medical Director for Pinellas County, Florida are preferred.  Must possess experience as a paramedic for a minimum of five (5) year along with current American Heart Association CPR card, ACLS and ITLS, (or equivalence); and valid Florida Class E Driver's License.  Position requires good interpersonal skills, and non-smoking/ non-tobacco using person both on and off job for one year prior to time of employment and maintain non-smoking status throughout employment.  Entry level position starting at $15.35/ hour; salary range: $15.35/ hour to $22.26/hour.  To apply: complete a city application available at myseminole.com, or at City Hall, City of Seminole, 9199-113th Street N., Seminole, 33772. Accounts Specialist I, Part Time:  Seeking qualified candidates  to process payables and serve as backup for payroll functions. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and 4 years exp. in payables/ payroll/ bookkeeping/accounting.  Must have valid FL driver’s license.  Entry level position starting at $14.34/ hr. Salary range:  $14.34 to $20.80/ hr.  Will work 25 hours per week.  Background investigation and drug screen performed. Competitive benefit package provided. City Inspector: The City of Seminole is seeking a full-time Building Inspector. Duties include enforcement of local and state codes, ordinances, regulations, statutes; perform plan reviews; perform building inspections for safety, structural, electrical, gas, mechanical, plumbing, municipal, and construction. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma/equivalent, valid Florida driver’s license, state licensed Building Code Inspector, certified in one & two family dwelling OR certified in building, mechanical, electrical and plumbing preferred. Five (5) years employment experience in comparable position. The selected applicant will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening. Starting salary: depending upon qualifications (D.O.Q.). Salary range: $41,857.50/year to $60,693.36/year. Library Assistant I: The City of Seminole is seeking an individual to perform part-time duties in the Circulation and Youth Services sections of  the Seminole Community Library, a joint use facility located on the St. Petersburg College, Seminole Campus. The successful candidate will assist patrons at the circulation desk, checking out materials, registering patrons for library cards, answering phone calls, and related duties. The position requires a high school diploma/equivalent, and a Florida driver’s license. The position is scheduled for 20 hours/week, including some evenings and weekends. Starting at $11.71/hour. RECREATION LEADER I: The City of Seminole is seeking candidates for a part-time fifteen (15) hours per week position at the city’s Recreation Center. The work hours are evenings and weekends. The successful candidates will perform administrative and clerical duties (including computer/cash register work), and will lead and coordinate groups of children and/or adults in organized recreational activities. The positions require a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, and a valid Florida driver’s license. CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. The salary range is $11.71/hour to $16.98/hour.

Fire Inspector: The City of Seminole is seeking a part-time Fire Inspector/Fire Investigator to work a flexible 20 hour per week schedule as directed by the supervisor.  Work days and hours may vary each week based on the needs of the City. Duties include code application/enforcement, fire prevention functions and fire/arson investigation. This position requires investigation experience, with demonstrated knowledge of current inspection and investigation techniques.  Successful candidates will also possess advanced technology and computer proficiency.  Must possess at time of hire: high school diploma/equivalent; FL Municipal Fire Safety Inspector Certificate of Compliance; and Florida class "E" driver's license.  The selection process includes an extensive background investigation. The successful candidate will be required to carry pager, and may be subject to after-hours call.  Starting salary $19.52/ hour. Salary range to $26.82/ hour. Part-time employee benefits available.
