Library Aide: The City of Seminole is seeking two individuals to work part-time for the summer only in the Youth Services section at the Seminole Community Library, a joint use facility located on the St. Petersburg College, Seminole Campus. The successful candidates will each work twenty (20) hours/week for approximately ten (10) weeks, which will include evening and weekend hours. Duties include sorting and shelving books/materials, assisting patrons at the children's service desk, and assisting with children's programming. This position requires good communication skills, good computer skills, knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System, a high school diploma/ equivalent, and a valid Florida's driver's license. Library and/or experience with children preferred.   This is an entry level position starting at $8.93/hour . The salary range is $8.93 to $12.95/hour. Maintenance I: The City of Seminole is seeking a self-motivated individual to perform roadway median, and grounds maintenance duties in the Public Works DepartmentThis is a temporary full-time position for 21 weeks. The tentative hire date is April 27, 2015. (This is not a building maintenance position.) The work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The starting salary is $12.53 per hour. The salary range is $12.53 per hour to $18.17 per hour. This position requires a valid Florida driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) to three (3) years of experience/vocational preparation.  A background investigation and drug screen will be performed. Executive  Assistant: The City of Seminole is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to assist the City Manager. The successful candidate will perform highly advanced administrative and secretarial support duties. The requirements are an Associate's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Secretarial Sciences, or a related field of study; and a minimum of six (6) years of executive experience. The successful candidate shall be proficient in the use of personal computer systems using Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Adobe illustrator, Laser Fiche, Access, and other similar programs. The candidate must possess the ability to exercise independent judgment, to handle sensitive information in a confidential and discrete manner, must possess knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and have excellent telephone etiquette skills. Hiring at $17.57 per hour. The salary range $17.57 to $25.48/hour. Stormwater Technician : The City of Seminole is seeking a Stormwater Technician. This technical and administrative position performs duties related to the implementation and management of the City's stormwater and asset programs under the direction of the Director of Public Works. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The job requirements are: A valid Florida driver's license; an Associate's Degree in Environmental Studies or a related field is preferred with three (3) years of related experience in stormwater and project management or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities may be considered with  a minimum of  5 years of experience in the related field; working knowledge of all stormwater regulations involving a NPDES permit; certification in one of the following is required: Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Stormwater, Erosion & Sedimentation Control Inspector certification; Pinellas County Best Management Practices certification; Florida Stormwater Association's Stormwater Operator Level I; Florida Association of Code Enforcement “FACE” Level 1.  The starting salary is $41,857.50. The salary range goes to $60,693.36. A competitive benefit package is provided. The hiring process includes a background investigation and drug screen. Recreation Program Coordinator : The City of Seminole is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator. This administrative position is involved in the development, and organization of Seminole Recreation Division senior/adult activities, youth/family activities, and fitness/athletics activities as assigned. The successful candidate must possess the ability to exercise frequent independent judgment while performing a variety of administrative and support tasks relative to various phases of the Recreation and Leisure Programs in the City of Seminole's Recreation Division. Work is performed under the direction of the Recreation Director. The work hours include closing the Recreation facility Monday-Friday evenings and various weekends depending on programs activities and events.  The job requirements are: Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation, Leisure Services, Physical Education, Sports Management or a related field AND a minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in Parks and Recreation or Leisure Services (including 1 (one) year of supervisory experience); a valid Florida driver's license; valid CPR/First Aid certifications required or must be obtained within the first six (6) month of employment. A Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification is preferred. The successful candidate must possess the ability to obtain a Class C CDL driver's license within six (6) months of employment. The starting salary is $34,168.20. The salary range goes to $49,543. Camp Counselor: The successful candidate will lead and coordinate groups in the city’s youth summer camp program. The work dates are: 05/11/15 to 08/28/15. Candidates will be required to work all 11 weeks of Summer Camp. The work hours are between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with varying daily schedules. This is a temporary full-time position.  This position requires applicants to be 18 years old, high school diploma/ equivalent, and a Florida driver’s license. CPR & First Aid training provided. Salary range: $9.48 to $9.99 hour. The position is a temporary full-time position, background investigation and drug screen conducted. Lifeguard-Seasonal: This is a temporary seasonal position. The successful candidate will work at the Holland G. Mangum Recreation Complex and supervise and patrol the pool area, perform clerical, cashier, and custodial duties. The work dates are 4/06/15 to 10/24/15 w/varying daily schedule. The requirements are the completion of 2 years of high school (have completed the Sophomore year of High School), and possess Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications, Florida driver’s license or picture ID. Salary range: $9.48 to $9.99/ hr. plus $1.25/hr. for WSI certification. A background investigation/drug screen will be conducted. Training Technician: Part-time-20 hours/week . Assist in developing and coordination of in-house training programs for the Fire Rescue Department employees. Maintain training files, monitor certification requirements, purchase Fire equipment, and supplies. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, computer proficiency, experience with audio visual equipment,  five (5) years prior Firefighter experience, a valid Florida driver's license, good interpersonal skills, and be a non-smoking/ non-tobacco using person both on and off job for one year prior to time of employment and maintain non-smoking status throughout employment. Entry level position starting at $10.42/ hour.   Salary range: $10.42/ hour. to $15.11/hour. The work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 pm.
