Administrative Assistant II :   The City of Seminole is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant II to assist the Recreation Director. The successful candidate will perform advanced clerical and administrative support duties. Requirements: A high school diploma or an equivalency certificate required. Advanced training in business or an Associate Degree in Business Administration or Secretarial Sciences is preferred. A minimum of four (4) years of executive secretarial or advanced clerical experience required. The successful candidate shall be proficient in the use of personal computer systems using Word, Excel, Access, Laser Fische, RecTrac, and other similar programs, and have excellent telephone etiquette skills. Hiring at $14.62 per hour. The salary range $14.62 to $21.20/hour. Recreation Leader II:  The City of Seminole is seeking a responsible, professional individual to perform a variety of duties for the city’s active/passive recreational leisure facilities. The duties include organizing, promoting, and supervising a variety of programs (senior adult, senior adult special events, and summer specialty camps). This is a full-time position working Monday thru Friday daytime hours with some evenings, and weekends.  Requirements:  Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree from an accredited college with one year of employment experience in Parks and Recreation, or closely related field; valid Florida driver’s license; Ability to obtain a Class C CDL driver’s license within 6 (six) months of employment. possession of valid CPR/First Aid certifications. Starting salary is $13.66/hour. The salary range is $13.66 to $19.81/hour. This position has a competitive benefit package. A background investigation and a drug screen will be conducted on the successful candidate. Library Assistant I: The City of Seminole is seeking an individual to perform part-time duties in the Youth Services section of  the Seminole Community Library, a joint use facility located on the St. Petersburg College, Seminole Campus. The successful candidate will work closely with children, teens, and families by assisting them in person and over the phone with the selection of reading materials, programming, crafts, and other related duties. The position requires a high school diploma/equivalent, and a Florida driver’s license. The position is scheduled for 25 hours/week, including some evenings and weekends. Starting at $10.42/hour. Maintenance I: The City of Seminole is seeking a self-motivated individual to perform grounds and restroom maintenance in the Parks & Grounds Section of the Public Works Department. Qualified candidates should have experience in grounds and facility maintenance.  (This is not a building construction position.)   Work hours are 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.  Twenty (20) hours per week. This is an entry level position starting at $11.93 hour . The salary range is $11.93 per hour to $17.30 per hour. A valid Florida driver's license, a high school diploma/equivalent, and one (1) year of experience required. A background investigation and a drug screen will be performed.  A competitive benefit package will be provided. To apply: complete a city employment application. Training Technician: Part-time-20 hours/week . Assist in developing and coordination of in-house training programs for the Fire Rescue Department employees. Maintain training files, monitor certification requirements, purchase Fire equipment, and supplies. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, computer proficiency, experience with audio visual equipment,  five (5) years prior Firefighter experience, a valid Florida driver's license, good interpersonal skills, and be a non-smoking/ non-tobacco using person both on and off job for one year prior to time of employment and maintain non-smoking status throughout employment. Entry level position starting at $10.42/ hour.   Salary range: $10.42/ hour. to $15.11/hour. The work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 pm.
