The City of Seminole is accepting applications from volunteers to perform office functions at various offices. Flexible opportunities and at your convenience. Training Technician: Part-time-20 hours/week . Assist in developing and coordination of in-house training programs for the Fire Rescue Department employees. Maintain training files, monitor certification requirements, purchase Fire equipment, and supplies. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, computer proficiency, experience with audio visual equipment,  five (5) years prior Firefighter experience, a valid Florida driver's license, good interpersonal skills, and be a non-smoking/ non-tobacco using person both on and off job for one year prior to time of employment and maintain non-smoking status throughout employment. Entry level position starting at $10.42/ hour.   Salary range: $10.42/ hour. to $15.11/hour. The work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 pm. Recreation Leader I : The City of Seminole is seeking candidates for a part-time twenty (20) hours per week position at the city's Recreation Center. The work hours vary with the season including routine evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will perform administrative and clerical duties (including computer/cash register work), and will lead and coordinate groups of children and/or adults in organized recreational activities. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, and a valid Florida driver's license. CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. The salary range is $11.15/hour to $16.17/hour. Firemedic (Firefighter/ Paramedic)Tattoo Policy Position Description
City of Seminole Fire Rescue Department is in the process of building a list of eligible candidates, with three (3) positions currently available, for an entry level position working 24/48 hours shift work, salary range: $44,392. to $65,900.  A competitive benefit package provided. At time of appointment applicant must possess Florida Paramedic certificate; Firefighter II Minimum Standards Compliance Certificate; AHA Basic Life Support CPR card; ACLS & ITLS card, Florida Class E driver's license, possess valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) administered by an IAFF CPAT licensed site (such as Pinellas Technical Education Center) dated no earlier than one year prior to submitting application and no later than two months after formally accepting the conditional offer; high school diploma/equivalent; Pinellas County Paramedic Certification preferred. Compliance with Florida Statute 633.34 is required including no tobacco product usage for a period of twelve months (12) months preceding employment, and be non-smoking/ non-tobacco users throughout employment. Tattoos are permitted subject to the conditions outlined in Directive 14-002. An extensive background investigation will be conducted. Veterans Preference, EOE, DFWP. Deadline: November 24 th , 2014.

(NTN) employment application and FireTeam entry level testing through NTN. Select Fire, and sign up for the City of Seminole Fire Rescue Department. Upon completion of the FireTeam and CPAT testing, all candidate scores are automatically forwarded to the City of Seminole Fire Rescue Department.  Candidates who complete the entry level exam and pass the physical abilities test will be placed on the department’s eligibility list. When hiring, the City of Seminole Fire Rescue Department will review all qualified applications and contact select candidates on the list to invite them to participate in other stages of the department selection process.

National Testing Network is a service provided to conduct entry level Firemedic and CPAT testing in a standardized, professional environment. National Testing Network does not replace the City of Seminole’s responsibility to further screen applicants and make final hiring decisions. Deadline: November 24th, 2014.
