Part-time, 20 hours/week; reports to the Assistant Fire Chief/EMS Coordinator. The position is responsible for coordinating the care and maintenance of Fire Rescue Department EMS equipment including the purchase, organization and distribution of EMS supplies and equipment. The position also assists with the maintenance of EMS documentation, including certification and training records, required permits and certifications, and general record keeping. Position performs quality assurance activities, assists with the coordination of training program, and maintains library of EMS training materials. This position requires high school diploma or equivalent and computer proficiency; possession and maintenance of a current State of Florida Paramedic Certificate; and must meet certification requirements of the Office of Medical Director for Pinellas County, Florida for Paramedic. This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a paramedic. Position requires the possession and maintenance of a current American Heart Association CPR card, ACLS and ITLS, (or equivalence); and possession and maintenance of a valid Florida Class E Driver's License. Position requires good interpersonal skills, and non-smoking/ non-tobacco using person both on and off job for one year prior to time of employment and maintain non-smoking status throughout employment. Entry level position starting at $14.62/ hour; salary range: $14.62/ hour to $21.20/hour. Fire Rescue District Chief:  Download Position Description Download Tattoo Policy

The City of Seminole Fire Rescue Department is seeking a Fire District Chief to direct twenty-two Fire Lieutenants and shift Firefighter and Firemedic personnel on a 24-hour shift. Salary range: $59,825.54 to $86,747.01.  A competitive benefit package is provided. 

At time of appointment applicant must have a minimum one (1) year experience as an District Fire Chief or Acting District Fire Chief, (Shift Commander equivalent), and a minimum of three (3) years experience as a fire lieutenant with a progressive career fire rescue department, (similar in size and call volume, or greater, to the City of Seminole Fire Rescue Department); possess minimum Florida Division of State Fire Marshal Fire Officer I Certification, (Fire Officer II Certification preferred and required by July 1, 2016); have a minimum two (2) year degree from an accredited college, (preferred emphasis in Fire Science, Emergency Medical Services, or Emergency Management); possess minimum Florida EMT certification; and possess a valid Florida Class E driver’s license.  Preference will be given to applicants with recent fire rescue experience in Pinellas County, Florida; assessment center evaluation will include knowledge of the Pinellas County Fire Department Standard Operating Procedures 600 Series. 

Compliance with Florida Statute 633.34 is required including no tobacco product usage for a period of twelve months (12) months preceding employment, and be a non-smoking/ non-tobacco user throughout employment.  Applicants may have tattoos with some restrictions outlined in the city policy.  An extensive background investigation and medical exam will be conducted.

Public Works Foreman: Assist the Director of Public Works in organizing and supervising employees in the Infrastructure Division of Public Works Department. Requires high school diploma/ equivalent, eight years of employment experience in roadway stormwater, and right of way repair and maintenance, with two years supervisory experience. Must possess the ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time, overtime hours may be required. Ability to obtain a Class B CDL within one (1) year; a backhoe operator certification is preferred. This is an entry level position starting at $19.16/ hour. Salary range: $19.16 to $27.79/hour. Competitive benefit package provided. Background investigation and drug screen performed.
